Born in New Zealand in 1959 and raised in Australia (where he has been chased out of most states), the author is currently happily settled in Queensland, but is open to offers.

Recently retired from a career in banking to concentrate on writing, he spends his days feeding the chickens and the cats, whilst unsuccessfully trying to convince his French wife that the English make the better cheese.

An avid reader, he has a major interest in non-fiction history; in particular, the period from the American Civil War up until the Cold War.

He is hoping, one day, to finally master the English language, particularly some of the more difficult letters such as X, K and W.

Away from writing, his main interests are playing guitar, old, unreliable English cars and pouring glasses of champagne for his wife.
